Pediatric Emergency Entranceway Transformed
Dänay Design, located in Ft. Lauderdale Florida,
has recently completed a renovation project at Edward
Hospital in Naperville, Illinois. Dänay Design
was commissioned to transform the Pediatric Emergency
Entranceway into a sea wall.
Dänay Design took this opportunity to create a
dimensional, touchable, mural that included textured
glass with hand carved and painted fish attached, a
dimensional rainbow and dimensional coral with soft
seats designed in it. Sitting in these chairs, you can
imagine calming water around you and can get a sense
of the serenity of the ocean with beautiful tropical
fish all around and feel what it is like to be a part
of the scenery rather than just an observer. Dänay
Design is meeting the challenge of transforming spaces
into something dynamic with Interactif Art™ and
is having a tremendous impact on the way we respond
to the health care environment in the future.

Beebe Medical Center Radiology Room
Upgrade
If
it's not intimidating enough to enter a medical facility
to undergo a foreign procedure, it's even more daunting
to lay on a cold table and allow a huge MRI contraption
to pass over your body to x-ray in hopes of exposing
causes for failing health.
Dänay Design was commissioned to create a ceiling
at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Delaware that would
contribute to a more relaxing, comforting environment.
The outcome revealed a Skybox™ with a grinning
flamingo, over the MRI table and surrounding ceiling
tiles hand painted to reflect a tropical atmosphere.
Creating the distraction needed in this sterile environment,
Dänay Design is all about positive changes in
health care environments.

Cape Fear Valley Health Systems
Pediatric Emergency Department Renovation
Dänay Design was commissioned to design and fabricate
a 40' mural in the Cape Fear Pediatric Emergency Waiting
Room. In keeping with their dimensional mural concepts
in creating Interactif Artä, Dänay Design
hand crafted 52 animals in striking realistic detail
that were applied on top of the original wallpaper
mural. The animals are secure on the wall, touchable
and of much more interest to children and adults than
animals painted on a flat wall. Dänay Design
continues to delight, amaze and positively distract
the visitor that enters an otherwise tense and anxious
environment.

Broward General Medical Pediatric
Waiting Room Transformed
Even the ceiling tiles and blinds were painted to
contribute to the Rainforest Theme in the Broward
General Medical Pediatric Waiting Room located in
Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Commissioned by Facilities Management
to create the feeling of being in a rainforest, Dänay
Design began with covering three walls with a handpainted,
original wallpaper mural on. On top of that, realistic,
airbrushed, dimensional animals were installed bring
life to the scenery. Bamboo furniture fit right in
with the panda bamboo forest, and a fiberglass waterfall
chair became part of the painted waterfall on the
mural. Imagine sitting in this chair feeling the water
wash down your arms and legs, refreshing and calming.
The warm pastels in the sky of the mural casually
blended into the ceiling on the tiles. Along with
soft clouds painted on the vertical blinds, the room
encompasses it's visitors with complete distraction
from the anxiety of procedures and the stress of being
in an unfamiliar environment.

Kings County Hospital Pediatric
Wing Artwork Additions
Dänay Design is delighted to announce the installation
of extensive artwork in the Kings County Hospital
Pediatric Floor in Brooklyn, NY. Custom designed,
dimensional, wood carved fish characters, were installed
in exam rooms and hallways. Each room displayed
a large fish and it's smaller counterpart on the
wall at the head of each patient's bed. Smiling
fish with personality, painted in tasteful colors,
adds life and a measure of comfort to each room.

Maternity Waiting Room and Hallway
- A Wall Down Nursery Rhyme Lane
Dänay Design is at it again bringing smiles to
patients, visitors and staff at Broward General Medical
in Ft. Lauderdale with large nursery rhyme murals
and furniture in the nursery hallway and pediatric
waiting room. Each mural contains dimensional, touchable
animals and the children enjoy touching the artwork
and interacting with the characters. Dänay Design
designs and fabricates their artwork in their Ft.
Lauderdale studio, then installs the project on site.

Brand New Pediatric Cancer Care
Unit Beaming with Artwork
Dänay Design was commissioned to add life and
wonder to the sterile hallways and exam rooms in Broward
General Hospital's Fort Lauderdale Cancer Care Unit.
Dänay Design presented the idea of dimensional,
happy clowns and it was a winner. Custom fabricated
inhouse, Dänay Design went extra lengths to bring
frivolity and awe to this unit that will have children,
returning for canncer treatment and infusions, feeling
welcome by all their clown friends. Ceiling clown
mobiles and very colorful wall art has given this
unit a very fun and calming atmosphere.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Makeover
by Dänay Design
North Broward Hospital District's Fort Lauderdale
Neonatal ICU elicits a very warm welcome before
even entering the unit. The entranceway is adorned
with dimensional trees and animals inviting the
visitor to relax and feel confident that their child
is in the hands of caring, attentive personnel.
As you enter the unit the mammoth long hallway begins
with a 14' treehouse teeming with animals frolicking
and a mouse home deep inside the inside of the tree.
Around the corner, a wildlife table and chairs captivates
the attention along with the 8' dimensional, plexiglass
covered, forest mural that stretches behind it.
Continuing down the hallway are hand carved, dimensional
birds, deer, chipmunks and raccoon following you
down this extensive hallway. Fiberglass tree stump
step units allow children to step up to see their
newborn brother or sister on the other side of the
glass, and a fiberglass tree stump bookcase allows
children to stay occupied while their parents meet
with nurses. Dänay Design is gaining a reputation
with their dimensional, Interactif Art™.
